Abortion is a sensitive issue for everyone and there are deep feelings on the issue for all involved. Yet despite that, thanks in part to Shelley Madore, even if you are passionately opposed to abortion, your taxes will be helping to pay for them.

On Friday, April 20th, while considering SF 2171, twenty-three reprensentatives proposed an amendment that would have prevented state funds from being used to provide abortions. As usual, Madore voted with the inner-city liberals, and voted against the amendment.

As a result, regardless of how you feel on the issue, your tax dollars can be used to fund abortions.

Shelley Madore….You’re Letting Us Down!

Everyone can agree that college tuition has increased dramatically the past few years.  The prospect of sending our children to college is a daunting task for for every family.  Keeping tuition increase under control are a goal we can all agree with

Which is why one of Shelley Madore’s most recent votes is a disappointment.

Senate File 1989 contains a provision which provides resident tuition to illegal aliens.  This costs the state millions, which could go towards lower tuition for the children of legal residents and citizens.

On Thursday, April 19th, Representative Severson introduced an amendment which would have removed this language from the bill.  Instead, Shelley Madore feels the money is better spent on those that don’t respect our laws and invade our communities.

Is this Shelley Madore’s version of education reform?? Provide tuition relief for those that aren’t even supposed to be in the country and leave everyone else (including those who voted for her) hanging out to dry?  Apparently, Shelley Madore cares more for illegal aliens than our own children!

Shelley Madore, You’re Letting Us Down….And Hurting Our Kids

After a week long Easter weekend, Shelley Madore and the rest of the DFL return to the legislature today to pass even more taxes on middle class families like yours.

What tax will they come up with this week?  Stay tuned for the answers.

Recently Shelly Madore has proclaimed her success in helping to pass bills that supposedly might lower our property taxes. She talks of increasing taxes on the rich in order to pay for all of this
What she doesn’t mention is that in the same time, she has raised every other sort of tax on middle income families like yours to pay for the DFLs other spending binges.  Even if they manage to slightly lower your property taxes, they have in effect jacked up all the other taxes you pay, such as sales, income, gas, vehicle, etc.

Madore, and the rest of the DFL hopes, you won’t notice that while your property taxes may or may not go down, the rest of your taxes are soaring through the roof.  And for this we are supposed to be proud of Madore?

Shelley Madore, you promised you wouldn’t increase taxes on working middle-class families.  You’re letting us down by breaking that promise and taxing to pay for the pet projects of the inner-city liberals.  Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not something to be proud of, especially when both Peter and Paul want a break.
